SkyWorld Development Group (SkyWorld) hosted a key handover ceremony for SkyAwani 3 Residences, the third installment of the affordable Awani Series, on 18 June 2022.
At the ceremony, SkyWorld also received the certificate of recognition from the Malaysia Book of Records—SkyAwani 3 SkyBridge located on the 52nd level is listed as the Highest Residential SkyBridge in Malaysia. The 550-metre-long skybridge stands at a height of 170.55 metres, connecting the three 52-storey building towers and offers a 360-degree view of the city skyline.
Situated on a 4.55-acre of leasehold land in Setapak, SkyAwani 3 Residences offers 1,905 units with a total of 22 facilities for residents, including a swimming pool; a basketball court; a multipurpose hall; and a children’s playground. Each of the three-bedroom and two-bathroom units comes with a standard built-up size of 800 square feet and a covered parking lot, with the price set at RM300,000. The development achieved 79 per cent of Quality Assessment System in Construction (QLASSIC) score from Construction Industry Development Board Malaysia, indicating the high quality of work.
SkyWorld is in full support of the Government’s initiative to provide 1 million units of affordable homes by 2029. To date, the company has launched 6,236 units of affordable homes and is one of the biggest contributors of Residensi Wilayah Keluarga Malaysia.
Prime Minister of Malaysia, YAB Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri bin Yaakob, says at the ceremony that the Residensi Wilayah Keluarga Malaysia aims to help residents of the federal territories in the low-middle income group M40 to own a house. Looking at the current development trends, one would need to pay RM500,000 or more for a residential unit with facilities like swimming pools and gyms. These are indeed the added value given by SkyWorld for this affordable housing series.
All of the Awani Series are fully sold and SkyWorld is in the planning stage for its sixth installment. The developer is also planning to launch four projects in Kuala Lumpur this year in Setapak, Cheras, Taman Melawati and Setiawangsa. —Construction+ Online
