In order to achieve success in a construction project, the construction industry requires capable project managers. Recognizing this need, the industry, represented by CIDB, has developed the Construction Industry Competency Standard (CICS) specifically for Construction Managers. The CICS for Construction Managers has been designed to align with Level 5 of the National Occupational Structure. Those individuals who demonstrate competence by attaining the necessary knowledge and skills will be awarded the Level 5 Construction Skills Competency Certificate.
The objective of the Construction Managers Accreditation Program is to enable the Malaysian Construction Industry to accredit proficient construction managers. This accreditation process adheres to the provisions of the MALAYSIA CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT BOARD ACT 1994 (Act 520) (Amendment 2011) and the Construction Industry Transformation Program (CITP).
