The Light Rail Transit (LRT) system in Malaysia has been temporarily suspended due to technical issues. According to a statement by Prasarana Malaysia Berhad, the operator of the LRT system, the suspension was necessary to ensure the safety of passengers and to carry out maintenance work.

The suspension affects both the Kelana Jaya and Ampang/Sri Petaling lines, which serve several major areas in Kuala Lumpur and its surrounding areas. Passengers are advised to seek alternative modes of transportation during the suspension period.

Prasarana Malaysia Berhad has stated that they are working to resolve the technical issues and resume LRT services as soon as possible. However, they have not provided a specific timeline for when the suspension will be lifted.

This is not the first time that the LRT system in Malaysia has been suspended. In December 2020, a technical issue caused a disruption in LRT services, leading to widespread delays and frustration among commuters.
