A panel from a construction site fell on a parked automobile on Jalan Ampang in Kuala Lumpur this morning, injuring the roof and side of the vehicle. A contractor is now under investigation.
The driver had gone to a neighbouring convenience shop at the time.
The Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB), which claimed that an aluminium formwork panel had fallen on the automobile, has issued a stop work order to the contractor.
“According to the original report, the event happened at around 9 am when workers on the 55th level were attempting to open aluminium panels. A car parked at the side of the road across from the project site was struck by one of the panels, according to a statement from CIDB.
