Singaporean real estate and lodging company, The Ascott Ltd, is joining forces with Instant Icon Sdn Bhd (VST Property Group) to develop Ascott Residences Batu Ferringhi Penang. This upscale seafront development is expected to open its doors to residents in January 2028. Set to elevate Penang’s luxury living landscape, the project features 99 exclusive residences, specifically designed for owner-occupation.

Mondi Mecja, Ascott’s Country General Manager for Malaysia, expressed excitement about the development, stating, “We are enhancing our portfolio with this premium branded residence in Penang, reflecting Ascott’s commitment to offering high-quality accommodations tailored to various stay purposes.” The project will be located strategically along Penang’s northern coastline, between Tanjung Bungah and Batu Ferringhi, offering residents unblocked sea views and direct beach access.

The development promises a refined living experience with units ranging from 2,000 to 4,000 square feet and a luxurious 8,000 square-foot penthouse. Ascott Residences Batu Ferringhi aims to attract discerning owners seeking luxury holiday homes or retirement properties in a tranquil beachfront setting.

Mecja highlighted the project’s unique appeal: “Ascott Residences Batu Ferringhi Penang blends tranquil seaside views with refined living.” The property will feature top-tier facilities including a swimming pool, a gym, a resident’s lounge, and a dedicated concierge desk offering personalized services. These amenities are designed to provide a luxurious and relaxed lifestyle for residents, fostering a sense of community and social engagement.

This marks the second collaboration between Ascott and Instant Icon, following the successful launch of lyf Georgetown Penang, which introduced a social living concept to the island. Mecja expressed confidence in the continued partnership, adding that the exceptional location and design of Ascott Residences Batu Ferringhi will further strengthen Ascott’s brand in the luxury living segment.

Datuk Yeoh Yih Sean, Group Managing Director of Instant Icon, also emphasized the importance of the collaboration, noting that the project meets the growing demand for premium accommodations in Penang. He remarked, “We are excited to introduce another first, a new branded residence under the prestigious Ascott brand, which will enhance Penang’s luxury living landscape.”

This latest development is part of Ascott’s long-term expansion in Malaysia. The company, which has operated in the country for 25 years, now has a presence in 12 cities. Penang, in particular, has been a key growth area for Ascott, with 11 properties currently in operation and four more in the pipeline, including Ascott Residences Batu Ferringhi.

With its prime location, exceptional design, and focus on owner-occupiers, Ascott Residences Batu Ferringhi is set to redefine luxury beachfront living in Penang, catering to those seeking a high-end, serene lifestyle by the sea.
