Penang Development Corp has awarded Muhibbah Engineering (M) Bhd a RM172.6 million construction contract for a project in Bayan Lepas, Penang’s Technoplex industrial zone.
The proposed construction involving a nine-story office building, a factory, a six-story parking structure with mechanical needs and a TNB sub-station, as well as one unit each for a standard waste depot, an office waste depot, and a recycling room.
The contract is expected to be finished within 14 months of its original start date of February 13.
It claimed to have received a RM116.4 million contract in December 2022 to build student housing and infrastructure at University Teknologi Petronas in Perak.
In addition, it also signed a contract with Petronas for a second RM322 million offshore oil and gas construction project. This one was for the engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of a light weight structure for the Duyung brownfield modification as well as a host tie-in for the Gansar project.
